For providing my rear end a seat to get to a meeting! You guys are a pleasure to jumpseat on!

Whatever, Seg. All I can tell you is I had an AA guy on my jumpseat whose attitude towards B6 makes me look like a pansy.

People are finally starting to realize the effect the non-Union boys are having on our profession.

Velo, would it make you feel any better if Jetblue was giving Seggy a ride to a ALPA organizing meeting for Colgan?

That would be poetic...

Damn... That was fast.

Actually, I heard a funny story from the NWA Jump seat Chair the other day. I guess a bunch of NWA A320 pilots blame B6 for there current rate (which was actually signed before Jetblue started flying) and have been denying them jump seats. Well, there are a LOT of guys that rely on JetBlue to get to work and for 2 days Jetblue stopped taking any NWA guys. The word got out and a bunch of commuters took to educating their NWA 320 brethren about how stupid a jump seat war is.

Not that I really care, but Velocipede, how do you justify your pay cut? You guys are pretty much the ONLY show in town so it's not like you would have gone anywhere if you hadn't taken it. Or did your management scare you that badly?

I think they got overly screwed by an arbitrator and didn't think it was gonna be all that bad. Binding arbitration didn't work out too well for them.

God, who left the door open again? :(

Not only that, but when they asked, "What are you going to IAD for?", and I told them, they were 100% behind ALPA at Jetblue. They were ex-Independence Air guys who know an organizing drive IS going to happen at Jeblue soon and want it there.

Velo, the way you educate them is not to start a piss war over jumpseats. Treat other professionals accordingly, don't beat them down. Educate others on positive change.

:yeahthat:

Nicely said, Seggy. Accusing others of basically whoring themselves out or having no balls is not a way to make friends and win people over.

Him and Andrew (from whom i've already met) and that's just cuz their bulky guys with musklies...:)

Binding arbitration hasn't really worked out for anyone lately, if you were to ask a USAir pilot. Of course, AWA guys might see it differently...

that is one thing i can agree with you on. actions sometimes do speak louder than words. my philosophy is ask, tell, act. i usually only get to the tell. sometimes the act is in order when people do not get the message. :)
