(I am patiently waiting for someone to show how if AMF had paid their pilots a cost of living raise for the last 7 years, the pay would actually be higher now. Who will be the first?!?!)

That great for you guys! Find a little something extra to do (training/IOE captain) and bust out 65 to 70 grand in the typed equipment easy!

My last tax year at AMF, I made 63 as a brasilia captain and part time recruiter/interviewer. I would have easily made 70 with this pay raise if I were still there!

They sent it via email

The salary caps are very depressing looking. About the only thing that looks the most exciting, is first year pay change. Don't get me wrong, more pay is awesome and I am so glad you guys are getting bumped up in pay. It is certainly built to attract, but not to keep.

I'm pretty sure that's what they ultimately want.

They still doing the premium pay for flying with the Korean FOs? That stuff added up on a high flight time run. I was making some coin the last 4 months I worked there flying 100 hrs a month with those guys.

Glad to see they finally increased pay. It's sad when pilots can leave as a cpt in typed equipment and make more money flying as an FO in smaller equipment.

Based on CPI, over 7 years, the 28,800 first year PA-31 pay should have risen to $33,093.15 for cost of living. This pay raise represents an actual increase of about $1000 over 2007 pay. I don't have older pay scales to calculate for other equipment types.

The pay scales were created before 2003 (they upped the PA-31 to the BE99 rates in 2003 I believe). Over 11 years of inflation means they are still way behind. This is especially true in high cost areas such as California. Metro pay based on inflation alone should be around $53k. I don't count bonuses since they can always disappear at any moment.

2003? Someone said 2007. PA-31 should be $37,291.30 in that case, with pay lagging more than $3000 since the raise.

Opinion: AMF is a two year job, at most. Cost of living raises are irrelevant.

COLAs should be used based on location though. Even Martainair had a COLA for their OAK guys.

The oldest revision of the pay scales I have seen were from 2003 and they match the current numbers. That is why I mentioned that number.

28,800? It was 28 flat if I remember correctly.

Turbine bonuses for many are psychological in favor of the company. If you are here for more than two years, you are probably a lame-o like me, if you leave before two years (like most) you might get
One turbine bonus.
I know a loooot of guys who have flown turbine equipment at Amf and bailed before the retention check was in the mail. The company gets exactly what they want with a bonus...,guys counting their chickens before they hatch.
I bet a few guys on this very forum are guilty of mentally banking the right hand column.
Hell the pay rates don't even start for almost a quarter year from now, how many are going to be gone before that even kicks in....many.
Hell if you are already on pay roll, statistically your WILL be gone from Amf after a couple months of making it rain with the new pay rates in 2015. Unless you are a lame-o like me...

I left before I ever got a retention bonus, and the spoils were sooooo worth it as far as compensation is concerned. I don't think it should be listed as compensation. It is almost as bad as listing per diem as compensation.

@eightballfreight what is keeping you around? You keep calling yourself a "lame-o" for staying around, and all I see are good jobs on PPW, BJJ, the orange site and others. The industry is so good right now that if you have an ATP and some turbine time, you can easily hit some entry level jet jobs like TMC or similar.
