Ameriflight

Well, They just lost both Metros to a 1900, and the Reno 99 run looks like its being combined onto the 1900. That leaves 1 Beech 99 doing the night run. Sad times over there.

The rear suspension of my 740 has not recovered...

Too fancy for freight! I parked the M3 for that very reason, plus a *heavy in the back* M3 is a little bit too much "LOLOLOLOLOL!" for my taste. The police would probably have a conniption. :D

I heard about this. Definitely sucks for the people there. Wonder where the other planes will go. If they go east they will be downed by maint out here for a month at a minimum.

I am sure they will go to BUR where they will be fixed up a bit lol.

Ya it is sad, some 99 drivers are looking at permanent downgrades to the Chieftain unless they move.

Hey, I'm about to interview with Ameriflight, and I already know they want to put people up in PDX on the Navajo. I was just curious how long it would take to get SLC. I live there and that would make life infinitely easier. Is SLC pretty senior? I do know that it's an all turbine base.

It takes 6-12 months depending on SLCs need and Portlands ability to let you go. 6 years ago it took me 6 mos., could have been sooner but Portland could not afford to let me go sooner. Swing by the SLC base and talk to the asst chief pilot. Make a good impression and let him know you want to be there ASAP. Apply for an upgrade to the 99 and a transfer your second week in Portland.

Good luck on your interview.
