American Pilots Hate New Uniform

If you can't see the difference between that double breasted suit and the double breasted uniform above, then you're the perfect example of why pilots shouldn't be making fashion decisions.

Which coat is that? I still have to go get fitted for mine!

I went to M&H by @DPApilot's favorite "Irish Bred". Tell her you don't want the cheap one, you want one that will last.

I've tried every other option over the last 17 years, my M&H is my best coat yet.

It's insane how many AA folks are so belligerently anti DB they can't see what the reasonable folks can. Like I said the first comment out of someone's month 99% of the time is looks sharp, people are judging off of an internet photo or from a brief glance in the terminal.

The loudest crowds are the portly or overweight guys, they are terrified of the double breasted. I have seen the uniforms in person, and they are OK, they just look a little depressing.

I will say that pimping the deuce breasts can be a nightmare if you put on weight.

But what a nice taut reminder when it's coat season that it's time to hit the gym.

66.49 years, man.

Well black uniforms aren't any less depressing.

I've had a bunch of guys try on my coat, including the base CP. Really, everyone that gives it a chance seems to dig it. I understand its not cool to want to look sharp and all, but still. The masses are lynching Ivan for no reason.

What did you think of Abbotts?

Well, back in the days when they had "Stitch" it was awesome. Walk on in, he'd hand you a beer, get you fitted, measured, tailored, tell you the 'word on the street' that he heard from other guys and send you on your way. Damned near "bespoke" uniform. Now, not so much. I had a good experience last time, but my coat was losing its liner after about 18 months.

I felt like M&H was more of an old school shoe store and Abbotts was more like Payless Shoe Source. Personally.

Lol, nope. Not accepting your offer of a one way ticket to Guyana! :)

Max, it will do it automatically in Word or something like that. In a generic text box—like this one—can be made by holding down the ALT key and pressing 0151 on the number pad of your keyboard. It won't work if you use the numbers that run across the top of the keyboard.

I haven't seen the new unis in person but I think they look pretty good in the pics. As long as we don't have to wear hats. Compliance would be an issue but it'd be easy to tell who was on probation.
