American Eagle

After seeing this post I did a little looking around and found a cool chat board for AE called Eagle lounge. Lots of info on it. For those that are wondering where the FO's got placed for previous classes it is all there. The site seems pretty new, the address is: www.eaglelounge.com

That regional interview is NUTS :banghead:! I was asked several technical questions on my interview:
  • What is your favorite thing about the Bonanza (current single I was in)
  • What is your least favorite thing about the Bonanza?
  • What is Max Gross weight?
  • What speed do the flaps and gear come out at?
  • What are three factors of Vmc?
  • Explain one of those factors.
No written, a sim that I did the night before to prep for (same profile) in a MS2004 type setup with cockpit, and about 15 minutes of HR questions. No IFR questions what so ever.

I think it's funny that these airlines want CFI's to know things like t/o alternates, RVR t/o charts, flight time/duty time limitations, etc. when we never use them in a daily basis. While it's good you have a background on it, Indoc teaches you all those things and is company specific.

That interview truly is tough! For the people that make it all the way through I am extremely impressed - I wouldn't of made it!

"*Urine samples = Two: Fill up one - STOP, sign some paperwork - fill up a second." How the crap! Crazy man! lol Why dont they just let you fill both then sign the stuff?

This may be one of the few benefits to getting a degree in aviation. We go through a "practice" indoc class.

Ours is not to question why. Ours is but to do and fly. :D :D :D :D :bandit:

Don't sell yourself short, dude. I barely knew any of that stuff before I got the interview. But, I studied - made myself all knowledgable and crap and was good to go. :D

the interview would be really hard if you went in their and had no knowledge of what the interview was like. but i had 2 friends that interviewed before me, and with the wonders of the internet i knew just about everything i was asked.
