American Eagle told to play ball or become Comair-II

I'd be happy to win it in person, too. You're a spineless weasel and a defender of company aligned corrupt union officers. Pound sand.
Really dude? I'm glad your maturity shines through. Oh, what, are you going to call me an alcoholic 21 year old again?

Seriously, take it from the teen forum, grow up.... You're only making yourself look worse.

Understand that Charlie, and many others, are facing the very real possibility that their company will cease to exist in the near future. I know the battle cries of "shut it down" and "no caving" are nice and all but the reality is, lots of people may be out of jobs when the dust settles on this. That can lead to some contentious words and actions taken by people directly involved.

I moderated the ALPA web forum at my previous gig and I personally drew the line at threats of physical violence. People running their mouth is a good way for them to let off some steam and the regrettable reality of interweb communications is that if you are going to post and somebody decides to go all keyboard ninja on your post, you've got to have thick skin and not take things personally when people throw mud at you. In the end you will come out the bigger person because everybody else realized that the guy ranting and raving couldn't hack it in that situation.

And the GI Joe public service message of the day, related to this overall situation (not the issue at hand though I don't think)...

Remember, pilot driven suicide and domestic violence rates skyrocket during bankruptcy and any other time there is potential for job loss or large paycutes. Beagle and ExpressJet people... keep an eye on your fellow pilots. If somebody is having a really hard time make sure they know how to get help. If you aren't sure of what to tell them, check in with your reps. Believe it or not, ALPA has a pretty good method of dealing with this through CIRP and P2P
.

If a lack of maturity is calling it like it is, then I'm never gon' grow up.

You're what, 22? You think you know everything there is to know? Be quiet and sit down.

As for image- image is for those afraid the truth will set them apart from the herd. There are things in life that are more important than not sticking out. Live your life in fear if you want. I'm not.

But mostly- pipe down kid. The grown ups are talking.

Let's just be clear here- things said in jest in a conversation might get a little cheeky with me- that's just my style. It's partly my military history, and partly just me. Get over it.

As far as the airline comments go- I mean everything I say. Shut it all down, if they want. I don't care. I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees.

... and that's the problem with a lot of you. Mainline pilots of today have what they have because they were willing to go there. They didn't snivel and whine about 'what leverage?!' , they found what leverage they could and ACTUALLY USED IT.

GET UP OFF YOUR KNEES.

YEAH- some of you really need to sack up. Or you can just sit in the corner and cry because DUI Doug wants to steal your lunch money.

Your call.

(If this disaster actually comes to a vote, I'm voting NO! NO CONCESSIONS, NO WAVERING.)

I didn't know age was a qualifier to be able to comment here at JC.

I get your point but Jesus....go after the ones that mean you harm, not people offering different points of view on a subject. Being so strong willed is good but don't discount what others have to say, you may miss something helpful and that's no better than what your enemies are doing to you.

DPA has as much right as anyone else here to agree or disagree.

I wish you luck on your vote and hope NO is the winning column and you can avoid stroking out by 40.

His whole argument was a critique of me, not the issue. He has nothing worthwhile to add, and therefore should be quiet. Happy?

I don't know DPA but I know he's a popular guy here, and I have no intention of starting an interweb pissing match. This is intended as a generality. The idea of ANY young person telling an Iraq War veteran to "grow up" deserves a chuckle at best.

Is this because we shut down your rogue defunct P2P chairmanship?
Jared, what good does this do? Seriously, the whole 'shut up, no you shut up' thing is getting ridiculous.

I hope everyone stands behind you guys in this vote.

I commend him for his service, but what does that have to do with acting like a kid because you don't agree with someone's viewpoint.

I don't think your military service gives you a free pass on everything. If anything I think that's insulting to most who've served.
