American Eagle email

Have you ever had an FAA violation, license suspension, or revocation?

They were looking for pilot certificate issues, not medical certificate issues. They only ask that you are able to hold a Class 1 medical and since you have it now they could care less for your medical problems you had in the past. I would uncheck it and erase the explanation.

just did.. and I sent another email to RK explaining myself. The email came from airline apps and not him. Sucks when you are trying to be honest about things.

Anyone know how long it takes them to send the interview packet to fill out? I want to get started on mine ASAP but i have yet to receive it in my email.

I got mine within 5 minutes of getting off the phone with Vicki to schedule my interview. Did she not say she would send it right away?

Does anyone have any ideas why I have never received the "We well review your application within 2 days" e-mail? I have submitted my app over 4 weeks ago. I only received an e-mail that said: "If you meet our minimum requirements you will be reviewed"

Now I went through ATP's 1-week CRJ program and their letter of agreement with Eagle says candidates can be considered and interviewed with reduced minimums. I meet all the minimums except for the multi. I put this affiliation in the addendum section so why would I still get this reply and not one that says my app is being reviewed?

Thanks

She verified my email and said she would be sending it. That's about it. Perhaps I should give her a call tomorrow.

What is your current multi at? They accept a little under 30 hours of the sim time from your CRJ course toward the multi time or so I have been told.

I thought I had heard that to, but I don't get it. I have 85 multi so its pretty close and I went through the course.

I have been updating my times weekly since ACE. Finally got the email offering an interview. Called and set it up for the 3rd of January!

Just curious why you want to get out of your corporate gig in a Piaggio for a regional?

Company instability, low pay and day rate, no benefits, no real job security, on call everyday unless the plane is down for mx, the company has been having trouble with paying me on time. At one point I had 2 months worth of back pay.

I would love to continue flying corp just not under the current circumstances.

You need to get out, and tell the boss to shove it. Getting paid on a timely manner, and the proper amount is quintessential to being a professional.
Good luck to your Eagle adventure.

Well, I got the "they will review my application in 2 days" email today. So hoping to get the interview date soon. I read somewhere in the previous eagle forums that they will call you at the interview but send you home if you ever failed a check-ride. Now that message was a few months ago. Do any of you have an idea if that's still the case or things have changes a little? I do have one failed check-ride.
Thanks

An instructor that I know that interviewed recently was sent home because he failed to disclose that he failed a particular check ride TWICE (he said he just failed it.)

I know they are being much more stringent on failed check rides due to 3407, but sending you home because you had one or even two bad days during your training is a little extreme in my opinion (now if you failed the SAME check ride more than once that is a different story). The important thing about check ride failures is that you took responsibility and you learned something from it. Everyone I know learned way more about themselves from their check ride failures than their passes.

From one of the other forums, at this time either of these would get you sent home:

Failing the same checkride twice.

Not disclosing on your app that you failed a checkride.

Failing a checkride once (or more than once on different tests) is acceptable if you disclosed on your application.
