I'm just about wrapping it up with the driving records and transcripts arriving in the mail today. Definitely going to go through it at least a couple more times to make sure everything's there/accurate.

Sled14 what happened man? They said 8 were supposed to be there on the 16th, but there were only 4 of us. Please say you got a better offer somewhere else and not that you got stuck trying to get to the interview.

Yep, all the flights were full flying to Dallase but I was able to make it there a couple days later. Really impressed with the company, had a great time and am waiting for the review board!

About a month after receiving that first email, I got another one yesterday inviting me down to interview. Didn't get anyone on the phone yesterday, didn't expect to. Hopefully will get it all set up on Monday.

how are you guys getting these emails.. i have had an app in with eagle for over a year now on airline apps and I havent heard a peep. I dont know anyone there and I havent been to a job fair sadly. Im sitting at 1610 total with 250 me... atp written.. no failed checkrides... IFR current and flying 135 freight. I really want to get into the 121 world and AE offers some of the best base selections for me and the upgrade is decreasing. Anyone know who I can personally shoot an email with a resume and cover letter to? or possibly a recruiting hotline?
Have you updated your airlineapps stuff lately?

If there is any way you can make it to a job fair, that would increase your chances greatly. If I hadn't gone to ACE this year I'm certain I wouldn't have an interview.

I dont know of any now that are going on. Its rough to leave the cargo job during the busy Christmas season. I fly pretty much everyday. I dont want to leave them hangin. One thing that I wish I did not have to put down on my application is that I was terminated by Pacific Wings last year. Its a crazy story but if you all know anything about PW then you will know that they fire people for bogus reasons all the time. The short story is that the PIC (i was SIC) chose not to fly during a large snowstorm with pilot reported severe ice. We were flying caravans and you know how those things do with ice. Anyway.. the circumstances of the night made it pretty much unsafe to even try (mountainous terrain, restricted airspace, shoddy radio coverage etc. etc.). All these things led up to the PIC choosing not to fly that night. As a result both of us were terminated immediately, even with our excellent employment records. It really sucks.
anyway.. my heart lies in the airline industry (135 freight isnt for me I dont think) and eagle now seems like an excellent place to go. My mind has changed in the past few weeks.. there for awhile I wasnt so sure. Now I want it more than ever and I would like to find a way to let HR know that. If only I could get an interview.

well that was fast.. i just got an email back saying they are unable to consider me at this time and to reapply in 6 months. what the hell?? its gotta be the termination. Nothing is going to change in 6 months other than the fact that I will have more time. Damnit.
edit: now going back to look at my airline apps a bit closer I see that there isnt a box to check for being terminated under the AE addendum. I did however just today check the box that asks if my certificates/ratings have ever been suspended or revoked. I decided that maybe I should check that since the FAA pulled my medical in 2002. None of my pilot certs have ever been taken. I explained this in the explanation box. Anyway, I got my medical back in 2006 with no restrictions. It really seems hit or miss with applying to airlines. I wish I knew exactly what they are looking for.

That is a bad box to check and probably generated the "No thanks" email. Having a medical pulled is not even remotely similar to having a certificate or rating suspended or revoked.

so should i uncheck it? the medical certificate is still just that.. a certficate.
the email did come from airlineapps.com not from the HR rep. But damnit now I cannot apply again for 6 months. I wish there was a way to explain this.
