Am I ready for a regional?

Getting sick of hearing that every young pilot looking for work is a dumbass who cannot possibly have the required skill.

To be perfectly honest, I agree with you, we shouldn't be lowering the bar, however, the market demands it right now, so all of us young-ins are in for a treat. Just because someone has 400TT does not mean that they are an idiot, it just means that they have less experience.

When did anyone in this entire thread ever say someone with low time is dumb for that reason?

Nobody said it, true, but look at the vibe in all of these posts. Look at the disdain that is dropped on many many posters simply because they don't have the same amount of experience. It doesn't match the spirit of JC. It was set up so high time and low time people could network a bit, not so people who have more time could wage a personal campaign for their own airmanship standards.

SeanA,

You might as well send some apps in. A bunch of instructors (and even people who didn't instruct) have been getting hired from WMU. Many with under 25 multi and they've done just fine through training. Based on their feedback prepare yourself as much as you can ahead of time and when you are not in the sim or training keep going through the flows over and over. Even if you don't get the job at least you will get experience interviewing so you will know what to expect when you do get more time and the chance to interview at the airline you really want.

Also, study as many gouges as you can.
