It had more to do with the forehead wanting to diversify his regional feed.

And that is just the reeeeally short version of it.


There was no chance in hell of XJT keeping those airplanes. Not even if the company flew them for free.

XJT management presented a proposal to CAL that would have been cheaper than CHQ. It became a matter of religion for CAL and not of logic that they wanted to diversify.

I've always gotten a pretty quick response. Probably because I know most of them first hand and hell, one of the attorneys I knew back in college when she was dating one of my fraternity brothers.

I keep telling people aviation is a very small world.

Seems like whenever there's a BOD meeting, there's always some text messages about "I'm sitting here with (whomever)"

ALPA impressed me when I had to use their legal assistance. I was put into contact immediately with a ALPA lawyer who helped me through the whole ordeal. Quite impressive considering at the time they hadn't even collected any dues from me or any pilot at my airline. ALPA legal is the reason I will never complain about paying dues. It's an invaluable asset every line pilot should have access to. Just my .02.
