Aviation Security Specialist
The Air Line Pilots Association, a leading international labor organization, seeks an experienced Aviation Security Professional to support initiatives and programs of its National Security Committee and to be a liaison with government agencies, the aviation industry, and law enforcement entities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an aviation-related field or a combination of airline experience and education.
- ATP – or commercial-rated pilot with airline flying experience.
- Extensive knowledge of airline, airline training, ATC and airport environments required. Knowledge of TSA and FAA operations desirable.
- 5 years of related experience in the aviation industry.
- Law enforcement background desirable.
- Additional airline or other aviation industry-related experience may be substituted for the academic requirement.
- Special expertise in the Transportation Security Regulations, aviation security, Federal Aviation Regulations, national and international aviation standards, aircraft operations and the Air Traffic Control System also desired.
