Amentum Baghdad, Baghdad:<BR /><p>Air Traffic Control Specialist/Radar- Training and Standardization Manager</p><p></p><p>Description: The designee is responsible for managing the overall ATC radar or tower facility operations, as well as directly supervising assigned personnel. The designee is responsible for the safe, orderly flow of air traffic within their designated airspace. Rules of separation must be applied to achieve the required separation as outlined in FAA manuals and orders. The designee coordinates with various controllers and personnel to relay information which pertains to the aircraft and in the interest of safety of flight including emergency information. The designee will be familiar with radar or control tower operations and apply the required separation of aircraft. The individual is responsible for vehicles and personnel operating on the airfield. Along with controlling aircraft the designee must be able to process flight plans, develop and supervise approach and departure procedures. The designee will have a full working knowledge of RADAR/Manual approach control operations, control tower and flight planning. </p><p></p><p>Education: Graduate of an approved DoD or FAA ATC course. </p><p></p><p>Experience: Eight (8) years of experience, two (2) years if ATC management, and One (1) year of experience must be from performing in a like type facility. Knowledge of ATC rules, regulations, and techniques; control tower and approach control operations. Shall hold one of the following radar certifications (ATCS certificate, FAA Credential, FAA or DoD training records) if staffed in a RADAR facility. Shall hold an FAA Control Tower Operator (CTO) certificate or FAA Credential with Tower rating if staffed in a Control Tower. </p><p></p><p>*Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.</p><p> </p><p>Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
