Allegiant Fall Class

Probably the different part of country would be my guess. Besides the low COL and good BBQ, Dallas is pretty meh. LAS area at least has some great hiking/outdoor activities- although Atlanta isn’t terrible in that regard.

Actually, Dallas isnt the deal it used to be cost of living wise. The influx of transplants has caused prices to surge. That might be why some new hires would want to leave. LAS and DFW have basically the same cost of living. If location is important to you then its a no-brainer to make the move if you can.

Dont forget that the legacy majors have hired a ton the past five years. Those hired now will see slower progression and be junior for quite a while. United being the exception but it wont be long before the bulk of their hiring boom is over too. Seniority wise and getting to the best schedules is going to be easier and quicker at a LCC that has higher attrition. Its easy to see why someone junior looking at 300 young dispatchers above them for the next thirty years might want to be on a shorter list with more movement.

Officially got the TBNT email. Onto the next I suppose. UA opened up apps over the weekend for their next class. Waiting to see a post go up about that. Congrats to those selected at Allegiant!

how many internals vs externals were hired? any ZED partners or only CASS? PTO?
Supposed to be 3 internals; 2 more with prior DX experience that had just started in G4 crew services; 4 external. 9 total.

ZED/CASS: Yes to both.

PTO: I *think* it is a total of 40 hours accrued in first year plus 40 hours awarded on 1st anniversary. After that 3.85ish hours a paycheck for years 1-3* and top out of 6.12 hours a check year 7 and beyond.

is the new pay scale part of a new contract or just a TA? 4-3 schedule and 1 week vacation after a year is normal for regionals no?

The deal was pay only in exchange for coming back for full contract in 2 years. FYI, Pay raise only TA was heavily voted in favor of and now in effect.
