Alaska opens new SAN pilot base

Me too (as in current today). So we were both right, everyone else loses. Looks like nothing super catastrophic for most, other than the handful of forced downgrades, which does suck. I didn't look deeply enough to find out how many SAN awardees were forced there though. Maybe that part was sucky for some?
The few jr captains who were downgraded that I looked up had 7 choices on their bid. So they tried for every base but were forced into the FO seat.

Despite your doom n gloom

Saw it parked at the N gates this morning in Seattle. Compared to the Hawaiian 787 parked next to it the thing looked boring, generic, and bereft of any sort of emotion beyond generic corporate gibberish. You could practically see Pualani on the tail next door weeping knowing that was her fate.

Never thought I’d see something more generic and boring than the old Deltaflot curtains on the tail, but the gang on Angle Lake nailed it!

Just saw it today in SEA too! Looked very nice, I like the livery. :)
