Alaska opens new SAN pilot base

My experience, CB tries and is fair - she has taken both issues I had fairly and seriously. And in both cases, worked out in my favor - albeit with a time delay to be expected with dealing with mgt and union.

Here's the deal... Sometimes Beefy is everything you make him out to be.

And then sometimes, he engages in a reasonable conversation... and then invariably, you or somebody else, steps in and makes it all about your little Eskimo Orgy of hate again. And via guilt by association, we all look pretty damn stupid.

I don't give a flying • if he reaches out to her or not. I made a suggestion based on a very realistic and normal comment he made (I mean, I assume you know that how much of second class citizens your reserves are set up to be in the CBA, which is unlike any of the other major properties other than maybe SWA), and then you had to jump up and down and say "look at me! look at me!"

EDIT... and then he responds and throws a whole bunch of "look at me! look at me!" words around and basically proves everybody's initial point. My adopted family is nuts.

I had already emailed CB about reserve tracking before I mentioned it here. I don't care if you think I'm nuts or not. If people want to step on my toes and make stuff up about what I'm doing, or not doing. I'm going to step as hard as I can back. I don't care about broken bones either.

I don't disagree with anything you said, but I also understand people lashing out at him after years of fatigue.

Maybe we will adopt more people with your thought and reasoning. Would be nice.

Funny thing is I’m sure I’d enjoy flying with everyone involved in this thread, but the face palms have left a permanent mark on my five head for sure.

Well yeah, mileage of course varies, especially at your base and a couple others (maybe ALL others???) in comparison to the mothership. My point was more that contractually, RSV pilot is set up to be working with second-class protections in most areas. SCR guarantee and low usage (base specific) being notable benefits, though I don't believe either of these are codified in the actual contract.

Me too (as in current today). So we were both right, everyone else loses. Looks like nothing super catastrophic for most, other than the handful of forced downgrades, which does suck. I didn't look deeply enough to find out how many SAN awardees were forced there though. Maybe that part was sucky for some?
