Alaska Hawaiian Merger Serious Version

Apparently tariffs will affect the aircraft delivery schedule in 2025. The seat manufacturers are Euro based with plants in Mexico.

In case anyone wanted to know the annual hiring black swan for 2025 ahead of time…
I mean we all tried to tell you but you were too busy with “but both sides suck” and “orange man bad” wisecracks 🤷‍♂️

Don’t they have 3rd axis for autoland rollouts? Seems like one of the issues with the max was a rollout guidance servo, which didn’t effect us or SWA because we don’t have that.
they did but they took them out after that jam a few months back
idk if they are putting them back in

there is also no HUD, we just get a taddle tale ACARS printout if we unstick greater than like 5.5 deg on rotation (dont remember the number as I havent gotten one since my first leg of OE)

So what kinda RVR do you need with no HUD or autoland rollout?

Got a line check and the rumor is that we will get 800NGs since those lines are open.

I was too afraid to ask the LCA if that meant the MAX line is shut down again 😅

Airliners and HUDs. 😂. As if airliners are in some 60 degree dive bomb pass, or in some offensive knife fight air to air, where there isn’t even one second to take a look down at the panel and scan something lest disaster occur…..
We’ll never be as cool as you.

You’ll never be as boring as us.

:)

There’s a fine place for boring. In your line of work, anything else but, is doing it wrong. Or, things are going wrong. I can respect boring!

We are taking the boring bus to boring town. And we are going to have a really boring time.

...a mid life crisis?
Eh, because, why not...besides...why can't a dude have some fun? Either a 'vett or a Mustang....at least a 5.0, V8, 6-speed manual, fat tires, glass packs black body, tan rag top and leather interior...and....everything is more fun topless. Wildly impractical, but so much fun...

Well the NG line sure isn’t open soooo…

They are still making P8s. I asked my buddy at Boeing about it and he says it’s not happening.

Apparently they are still certifying the machinists on the MAX line. Nothing is being produced. They haven’t even started on the one we are supposed to get this month but it’s basically complete.

So far I hear 3 deliveries for Q1.

Of course it isn't. That is the derivatives line, which doesn't really play in the same building as commercial aircraft. Yes, the tooling still technically exists, but man, what a fun rumor anyway :)

I feel like the LCA shows up to do a line check and it’s almost tradition for them to pass along the most out of this world rumor.
