Well, if you go back to the air show in '88 at Ramstein, one of the biggest changes was energy directed towards the crowd. Since then (and I believe previously), in the US there's been an establishment of a box the air show performers must remain in. This box keeps any high energy maneuvers parallel with the crowd. So there has been changes due to air show accidents. I do not know what the regulations are in the UK as this happened over there. I would imagine if this accident was shown to be outside the previously established box (or boundaries) the UK authorities may extend the parameters or limit high energy acts such as turbojet powered aircraft to non aerobatic maneuvers only. They really do learn from their mistakes just like the 121 world.Sure, let us talk about it.

All of the people killed were watching one air race. No spectator has been killed at an air show since at least 2008. That's just the data I can find. I think it goes for deacades beyond that, I just can't find the data.Posted this in another thread.
In the span of less than three years you have had what, about 20 folks killed watching airshows. Was much learned (in regards to the closeness of the 'box' to those watching) in that time from the very high profile Reno accident to this one? Wouldn't making sure the airplanes were flying over no one (if they move people from houses then why not close the road?) a top priority based upon the recency of Reno?

Beards do reduce solar radiation exposure by a significant amount, supposedly...AFAICT, the beard is a gimmick. And Sky Bully bless him, De Grey is not above using a Gimmick.
