You would be wrong. Rutan compares it to a P-Baron, but it's faster, goes farther, and uses less fuel. At the same time, it eliminates the yaw problems with an engine failure in a twin.

My whole life I've wanted to build a replica of the Macchi, but the engine - lack of an engine - makes that impossible. I will have to settle for the Supermarine S.6b because I can throw a Merlin on it.
