Airline Pilots Are Glorified Bus Drivers

I'm an assistant bus driver and really, I'm just another heavy equipment operator.

Getting worked up about it doesn't do any good, which is why Zap didn't launch off on that RJ driver.

I was all set to launch in to a rant, but Zap's post on the first page was a lot better than I'd have done. Plus, I'd have thrown that RJ clown in front of the next train. ;)

What? You think you can complain now kid, what with your printer and possibly relief first officer? Yeah yeah yeah, I've heard it all before, chump :)

Hey, I did two-man oceanic for the last couple legs. Show time is 1:45 before departure, and you use every bit of it. :)

One day, there will be one of us in the cockpit, wearing a subway drivers uniform, and there will be a green button that says take-off, and a read button that says land. Maybe a blue one for push back.

Ok truth be told the W&B program is MUCH better than what we were dealing with during the first tour, we've only got to spin the wheel 3 time instead of 300,000 like before.

Wow, the ACARS spits out the trim setting now? Careful now...XJT is joining the 1990s. :D

Well, it gives you the weight index, and you check that and then you'll get a trim number from the wheel.

Why we're still doing it like this blows my mind.

yeah whatever...we had to do ours by hand on the Bro...then find out the trim setting from a set of cards...archaic!:whatever:
