Why?If Boeing wanted to make some serious dough, they'd take the 787 technology and design and build a 757-sized airplane.
As I recall we killed the 57 as it wasn't selling well and the 737-900ER shared the same tube with the 757-200. In fact, prior to its death the decision was made to move that fuselage assembly to the Wichita plant (Spirit Aviation since the selloff) since it shared the same size as the largest 737 and could be moved via the rail line to Renton.
