But how did they feel when they made it? If they weren't in the right frame of mind I don't know if I want it - I'll be able to taste their anxiety - and that just ruins it for me.

Excellent - my only concern now is that we could be co-opting Latino culture by eating burritos - can you make sure you play some jazz while I'm eating it and make sure the servers wear Christmas Sweaters when they hand it to me?

I would, but they already built trendy lofts above the restaurant and now I can't afford living in the neighborhood anymore.

Shortly after the dot.bomb days when people were waking up to the scams and putting down the cool aid there were a lot of whiners in my generation who had high salaries at dot.bombs that never turned a profit. The rode the VCs high on the hog till the hog died and laid around complaining about it. I remember people going on national TV complaining about how they couldn't find jobs. I remember a really famous interview where a woman was told their were jobs available in another state if she would move, she said she didn't want to move and loose her house. She ended up loosing her home to foreclosure.

There are idiots in all generations and their are people who rise to the challenge. It's a choice you make. Either you find a way or you live in your moms basement.

The difference is back then even at McWage job wages one could afford a crappy apartment. Now you can't even afford to rent a room on those wages...

Of course, back in the day you'd just croak because of the lack of real EMS service. The orderlies that scooped you up and threw you in the back of the white station wagon didn't really do anything but drive.

That "long term chronic condition" back then wasn't called that. It probably had some colloquial name like "the consumption", "the sugar" or "the hydrophoby". Besides, you didn't have an "condition", you were lazy, shiftless or simply "good fer nuffun". Even if you did have a condition, it certainly wasn't long term, as you'd simply croak before they figured out what it was.

But then I've got a fair amount of empathy for some of the struggles Millennials face. I also find it disappointing how quickly some are to bash the millennial generation. Not saying some of the observations aren't warranted; however, I think they get a bad wrap as a whole. Many of the problems Millennials face are a direct result of the Baby Boomers and their greed.

It's always an interesting day when I get to tell someone 15 years older than me, ON PROBATION in my (you're goddamn right it's mine, @Derg) right seat, to put their cell phone away and pay attention while taxiing around ORD.

I have had to coach a few peeps on doing PAs....
