I am speechless.... is this topic for real? i laughed and read on expecting to see someone get flamed ... until halfway through and then i got scared.
Supercell.... I honestly don’t know how you are expecting to be received by your co-workers when you eventually do get a job. if you decide to go this route ... and you were completely honest with your co-workers about how you "worked" your way into your position... they would laugh. Aviation as a whole is like one big dysfunctional family... pilots are especially close and are known for having fun and joking with one another. i am afraid people wont be laughing with you as much as they will be laughing at you. it seems you are trying to buy respect or experience and few will take you seriously. The PFT programs will take your money and promise you a lot of things... but they are also eating away at the profession. If you love to fly or just aviation in general ... have some self respect and earn your way into the right seat. From the dozens of professionals who have already answered your question as politely as possible (I was expecting to see some fireworks) ... take their word on it that the experience gained from doing it the harder way is well worth the effort and added satisfaction.
