ADF Summit Meeting announcements

I did not attend but did get some updates from one our guys that did attend and:

From Airline Dispatcher Federation Facebook post:

Yesterday, ADF Jumpseat Coordinator Phil Brooks shared monumental news with attendees: FedEx has expanded jumpseat privileges for offline aircraft dispatchers, giving eligible dispatchers access to cockpit jumpseats under the same eligibility standards applied to offline flight crewmembers. The expanded access applies across the FedEx fleet for travel within the domestic United States, Puerto Rico, and Guam.

The change comes following coordination among FedEx Flight Operations, Security, and Jumpseat Administration to better align the carrier’s procedures with the reciprocal jumpseat agreements it maintains with other airlines.

Also- dispatcher jumpseaters now have access to First class on United. Not just economy.

Next year's summit will be held in DFW.

This is great news. Does the UAL arrangement stand for non-UAL dispatchers too?

Can’t wait to get on one of the Federal Express 777s. Side note: I’m also hearing that their dispatch group got a nice pay increase. Good work all around it seems.

Thank you for the very good update! Are dates for next year's ADF Summit available?

Wait do UAL nonrevs not have access to first class? If they do does that mean we have priority over them or below them?
Sure they do. Jumpseaters do not have priority over UA employees non-revving when it comes to those seats. It's just that normally first class fills up with revenue passengers being upgraded.

And if it's like it was when I worked United Express almost 10 years ago, you have to pay (like less than $100) for the upgrade as a non-rev

Just an FYI: seeing any seats in UA first class that aren't filled with revenue passengers or revenue passenger upgrades is extremely rare.
True domestically, however if this policy is also in place internationally certainly could be some opportunities for a sweet upgrade.
