I bought my 182 from a guy that had crashed (destroyed) 2 other planes. This one he dinged up too. His friend (the broker) basically took the keys from and put it on Barnstormers. The funny thing, the guy was a well known person in the community, and is great at what he does. Just a hazard to aviation...

Some people can do both, some can do one or the other, some people would be better off learning to code.

What good is an SIC that can't fly the plane? What are we here for exactly then?

Was he (FO) qualified for the leg bring flown? I thought not, what he had done prior to that, checkrides etc is kinda moot.

SIC-0. Does this kinda silliness make it into approved 135 OpSpecs? If you aren't permitted to fly the plane, how to you move up to SIC-1?

Wow. I had skimmed the report on this one years ago but hadn't realized the nature of the cockpit at the time of the approach, great video.

Just crazy to think someone can get so complacent that they'd sooner let impromptu training become the priority to the point of mentally checking out of every task but landing on the (wrong) runway ahead. What a horrible accident, hard to imagine that the CA would sooner let the aircraft stall at an aggressive attitude than just call a go around at one of several points in the last stage of the approach where it seemed prudent. A great case study in a total loss of situation awareness from a captain who should have known better, too bad the end result was a tragedy.
