AA Hiring

First impressions are important.

Yeah, if you wear something like this to the interview, people know you're serious about the industry.

More internals are interviewing today, and Externals being brought in next week.

Just a heads up too. The interview process is slightly different than its been in the past. There is still the test, but instead of the group interviews where 20 people were all in the room being interviewed at the same time, it is now going to be mainly groups of three, which should give the selection committee a better chance to get to know each interviewee.

Good luck to all who apply. Maybe I will get to OJT some of you guys.

All groups yesterday and I believe today were of 5. Still much better that the old ways.

Any idea as to whether they've already invited all the externals to interview next week? Or are they still making phone calls?

No, the group interviews are the only interview you have. Test, essay, and questions from the hiring panel.

That's weird, they used to have the "big" group interview but then if you passed it you would get called back for an individual interview. Guess having the smaller group interviews is their way of speeding up the process.

We were told the last group will interview next Monday and thats it for this round. Also of a pool of candidates if we do not get hired this time. Everything is now up to them to pick who they think is the best candidate. I am remaining positive I did well but also I am realistic that it may not be my time yet. We won't know for a few weeks.

So does that mean if you have not been given an interview date yet you are no longer in the running for this round?

The previous process worked well. I think we have a good group from those interviews. It weeded out the weak pretty well from what I hear.

It may be better for the people getting interviewed.

I think this round is closed. Didn't hear from them, it stinks but they had to choose from 5500 applicants, so it is definitely understandable for me. I am sure AA will be hiring more dispatchers in the future, and all we can do is keep on applying. Till then, I will keep on dispatching RJs and fly GA
