I keep hearing that about 45 people will be put on a hiring pool after this first round. This is great news for most who have have been invited to test and interview already. Good luck to all.
Thanks for the update, Bogey.I heard its the intention of management to just hire this class and see how it goes once they are upgraded before they hire another.
So most likely no pool. Not good for those who already interviewed, but good for those who did t get a shot this time around.
Thank you for the timeline, Flagship. That is a huge help with having reasonable expectations for when we'll be able to apply for the next round. It looks like the class is going to start sometime
in early June. As Bogey mentioned it is generally not a quick process to teach Sabre DECS to new hires especially if there are a number of internals without dispatch experience. It could be December to February before this class is fully upgraded.

Just to be clear about your post, are you saying that there's a second round of hiring going on already? Or did they not hire enough for the initial class from this first round they started interviewing in late April?Heard interviews still ongoing. Hiring a total of 15. Start date after July 4th Holiday, maybe mid July.
Have any offers been extended yet? They may actually have a pool planned for an August class.
For anyone currently working for AA. How many flights can be expected on a domestic desk per day?
For midnights, you work three desks and take over about 10-20 flights and will have at least a few to about a dozen red eyes to plan or follow. Then you set up 30-40 flights for 3 different desks in the morning.
The morning takes over the airborne flights the midnights releases and have about 40-50 to releases. The afternoon takes over 15-25 from the morning and releases around 25-30 or so flights.
Whether by releases or flight following about 40-50 total flights.
As a new hire, you wont touch international desks until you have been signed off for two years.
