Talk about one for the history books... Royal Seniority Rumble.... or SJS- Seniority Juggular Shots

In a total saturday night hypothetical sense... I'm game.

Please no phone calls, I'm only kidding.

I can think of a couple of senior guys here that I'd love to get in the ring with. 'Course, I'd be in prison for manslaughter afterwards. :)

Question pertaining to the origional intent of this thread: I don't see anywhere in the contract where is states the implementation date of the new per diem rates. Is this something that's slated to begin on the 19th? March 2? Or some other date entirely?

My understanding is that anything not expressly listed in the implementation LOA goes into effect on DOS, so in this case that would be the 18th.

Thanks, now that you say that I do remember the guys mentioning that at the show. There are going to be some messy paychecks come March 15th...

Or March 16th, depending on if they put you guys on the new pay schedule, too. :)

Auditing your own hours and pay has become a way of life at Pinnacle anyway. March 1st probably isn't gonna be a cakewalk since technically 3 days would be on the old pay rate, and the rest would be on the new pay rate.....assuming it passes. Might be easier to just retro it to Feb 15th, but that would cost the company $$$.

When do we find out if it passes? I heard Feb 17 at 5PM?

If it closes at noon on the 17th, I'd expect just a few short hours after that. I think the results for the Colgan ALPA vote (both times) was around 3PM that day.

It says SAT leg values are retroactive to March 2. I believe at least pinnacle and maybe mesaba already use SATs but we don't at colgan. How is that going to work since we already have our bids and soon to be awards for march based off the old system? Are the awarded line credit values going to change prior to the start of the month from where they are currently on the bid?

I should have taken some phone numbers...

That is a very good question Jrsy, I was wondering the same thing just now while filling out my bid form for March.

Also I have another question that I did not think about until now, will Colgan now get per diem like every other airline, or will it still be only on overnights?

Pretty sure none of the times will change until the company the scheduling committee can meet to establish SATs.

JNC stated at IAD Road show, per diem on all duty at CJC after the TA passes. This includes day trips, stand-ups and airport reserve.

The retroactive SATs to March 2 provision applies to Pinnacle in order to eliminate "Phil's 15". Since Colgan doesn't have SAT's, we will continue using marketing block until SATs are established and implemented in July. It's important to note that there isn't any real "harm" to the CJC pilots by using the marketing block times in the interim since that's what happens under the JCBA anyway when no SAT is established.

Since certain legs have different marketed block depending on the time of day it is possible that some of the block times at colgan will be lowered in the future as well as raised. When the SATs are figured out is there going to be a lookback to march 2 for the CJC guys? Or are we just going by the old system with the addition of block or better by leg until the SATs come out and then start from that moment on that program?

At XJ the SAT times change during the day as well. Either way let BOB fly and make some money.

During the road show it was said that the SAT times will be the same for each leg throughout the day. The 6am EWR-ALB would have the same SAT as the 2pm and the 10pm.

It essentially means that if your leg generally blocks 2 hours for that time segment in the day and the same leg at a different time generally blocked 1.5 hrs, then the SAT for those legs would be 1.75 hrs for both legs. So if your flight that regularly blocks 1.5 hrs cancels you will credit 1.75 for that flight. Likewise if your normally 2 hr blocked flight cancels you will only credit 1.75 hrs for that flight.

In the end the SAT is leg specific, regardless on what time it operates. Keep in mind what LEG specific means. MEM-IAH may be 1:15 and IAH-MEM may be 1:20. A houston turn out of MEM now is worth 2:35 at a minimum. If you operated MEM-IAH at 1:30 and IAH at 1:05 you will get the 15 mins over for the trip down and still get the 15 mins extra (from SAT) on the way back. That turn just paid 2:50. The Pinnacle issue was the "free 15" (although it has other names, but I won't go there) on each flight. I honestly am unsure of CJC's current practice enough to recite it as fact.
