Interesting...

Nothing negative, perhaps. Poor attitude? Yes. Not every CFI is a "whining pilot." If your not having a little fun you're doing this wrong.

It's not fun? Well, it probably is for awhile, but some people actually can make things happen with far less experience than you'd think... And a lot of it has to do with attitude. I didn't really care for CFIing. But I don't recall whining about it, instead I used that energy to do something similar to what the OP is trying to do; ask for help, do some
networking and find something better. I was quite successful in finding something I enjoyed (with far less experience than he currently has). There is nothing wrong with trying to find a better opportunity for yourself. Lots of guys on here have done very well without the CFI;
Autothrust Blue,
DPApilot,
z987k, are a few who come to mind who have done VERY well, by networking and knocking down doors to find a better job. "Sucking it up" would have been a lazy option and I doubt they'd be where they are now had they just sat back and waited for something to happen for them.

Also, this is quite contradictory. It would not be an easy feat. I would highly recommend NOT doing this unless you're trying to make it a career, or at least you're in it for the long run. It would be bad for you, and worse for your students.

Opening your own flight school takes a significant amount of work/experience/time to really get it right. That is unless you don't care about the quality, which if you're just there to "get the time" the quality of your operation would be quite poor.
