737 Max rolls out

ALPA National work term.

Nah, I'm not doing union work right now.

Funny thing on that, I was "persona non grata" with DALPA for the last 17 years until the recent administration change.

"I will not be your Morgan Freeman in a apocalypic-level action film". :)

Are those engines the geared ones? I didn't think the 73 could accommodate the geared engines that the NEOs are using.

I think these guys will only use the CFM LEAP engine. I do wish Boeing would innovate more. Maybe the flight deck is where they will shine.

Nope. My wife is a flight test engineer on the MAX and I got to see it. Very much disappointing compared to the NG.

The 737 is the loudest airplane I've ever riden up front in. That includes Metros, 1900s, and MU2s... :)
Had a 737 pilot riding in the JS today, complaining about the noise on our plane. Never been up front on a 73 to compare though and I didn't even think twice about it, I just figured, welp yeah it's an embraer it isn't the most sophisticated thing out there. Commuters, is the 737 louder than the 145? I'm just used to it, rocking the bose but I don't turn them on bc imo the white noise is terrible.

Only LEAPx on the MAX. Sole provider.

And the winglets on the max are not the same scimitar retrofit currently on the NGs... totally different. One is made by APB, the other is inhouse Boeing.
