Want to Buy 737-200

Air Philippines has a couple stored but I'm sure they will need a heavy check as well. They are disposable airplanes these days, use it 'til it dies then throw it out. Not too many out there that won't need a check or heavy work.
Thank you rjmore , it is very unfortunate that we can't find this airplane
even though the market is not high for 737-200's .
we have been to Tbilisi to inspect two AC's operated by kazak national airlines, their problem was that the C checks were performed every 4000Hours instead of 3 and a lot of shady maintenance practices to which they could not provide answers , missing documents ...ect , after that , we sent another team to Beirut to inspect another one ,just to find that the owner changed the terms of the original contract we signed .
so far all of our attempts were nul , all we need is an airworthy AC with some times left , we would have to perform a C check anyway to comply with south african aviation regulations .
i can provide a mandate from Express Jet if anyone is willing to help .

Back in April Mohand says he has spent over $50k in aviation while only "barely scratching the surface".

a friend of mine if looking
for a 737-200 for a lease to purchase deal
aircraft must be airworthy and under a million dollars
PM me for more details

Three months later he's an international airplane broker . . .

Hi Mike
This is a very serious deal and we are looking to close within a week from now , if you have anything airworthy , i would appreciate your help .

Looking to spend under $1M in the next 7 days for a 737-200 . . .

well , it depends on what you spend it .
in this case , we are talking about a 737-200 that will be used for another two years max before sending it back to the boneyard .

. . . to use for 2 years . . .

read the begining of this thread , i said this is a lease to purchase deal .
it costs a lot less to do this versus leasing it wet or dry .
this operation is somewhat complicated , the airline is registered in the british virgin islands , having its offices in paris and operating in south africa ....this is just one of the benifits of globalisation !

. . . all for a buddy with a business registered in the Caribbean, based in Europe, operating in Africa??

Yeah, this is real.

Speaking of, my friend is looking for a 25,000 square foot estate, has $40 million to spend, but can't figure out how to call a real estate agent so he asked me to post on JC.

i wish i was an international airplane broker , you are probably in a better position than i am .
but is it inapropriate to ask for help in a forum ?

Finding a 737-200 is good condition is going to be very difficult, even 3rd World countries such as Indonesia have stopped issuing certificates on any new/old 737-200 aircraft.

Looking for 737-300 aircraft would probably be better, but, of course, the price is going to be higher....

Getting your hands on a 737-200 aircraft can be cheaper, but, the maintenance costs are going to cost you as well.

Let me ask around......

I have an absolute stunner here that is nearly ready to fly! I was prepping it for an airline in Thailand that suddenly disappeared! I still need to instal TAWS and 406ELT but have all the engineering done for it already! She currently has -9 a engines that have 6 months left on the silly corrosion AD.

Check Trade-a-Plane. They have some in there. Just looked through one last night before going to bed. Some interesting reading material.:bandit: All they may have is a VIP config. You can get other variants with a pax configuration.

thank you all very much for the inputs and your help
i looked everywhere before posting here , controller , trade a plane and a lot of other websites , so far , the buyer inspected 10 airplanes and none of those were compliant with some AD's , most importantly AD FAA # 2006-07-12 (Scribe line inspection) , this one requires about 5000 working hours and can cost more than $600K .

I don't know how you reached that conclusion. The AD mandates just an inspection IAW a Boeing S.B.

The ammount of working hours and related costs will be dictated by the extension of the damage in that particular aircraft.

BP those are two of the 10 AC the buyer inspected
