A guy named AirAlgerie may be able to help....but he doesn't post here anymore.

Talk to MikeD, for the right price he might "borrow" one from the boneyard for ya...

Hi Mike
This is a very serious deal and we are looking to close within a week from now , if you have anything airworthy , i would appreciate your help .

i doubt anybody sells jetliners on ebay
the problem is that the buyer is looking for financial terms , this is a lease to purchase deal , with no bank guarantees , he is willing to put an HS125 as a collateral .
as you all may know , very few people are in the market for a 737-200 and yet we can't find one .

I owned an aircraft brokerage and we sold several 737 classics. We got requests like yours all the time and they never worked out. The ex airliner game is one of cash meaning we would only entertain the deal with 50% in escrow and proof of funds for the rest.

Good luck though as the prices have come down so the 125 may be something they would look at. I don't keep up with it anymore as it is a cut throat business and it was giving me an ulcer. Good money but not worth the headache, at least in the used airliner market.

If you are in the jet market and can't pay $400,000 then I think you should be looking at something else.

Cessnaflyer , this is not for me , this is for a friend who owns an operating airline .
the problem here is all these 400K aircraft you see online are good only for scrap most of them need D checks or Heavy C check +corrosion . no one on earth will sell you an all check current Ad compliant aircraft for that price ( a C check costs 400K on a 737-200) .
the buyer wants to spend 1.0 Million for an airworthy aircraft with some time left till next checks.
googling or looking on controller, trade aplane or whatever you want to call it leads to nowhere , i am looking for people who know owners who may be interested in selling .
thank you all for your inputs and your understanding.

Why not lease something then?
read the begining of this thread , i said this is a lease to purchase deal .
it costs a lot less to do this versus leasing it wet or dry .
this operation is somewhat complicated , the airline is registered in the british virgin islands , having its offices in paris and operating in south africa ....this is just one of the benifits of globalisation !

Air Philippines has a couple stored but I'm sure they will need a heavy check as well. They are disposable airplanes these days, use it 'til it dies then throw it out. Not too many out there that won't need a check or heavy work.
