500 hour Riddle Grad

Are New CFI's doing that gig in order
to build their own hours as well as
make some cash ?

I am thinking of skipping that and buying my own
plane to build the hours I need, 1500.

I am not sure if I want to fly with other new pilots..
I scare myself somedays..lol

Of course, I have 1497 more hours to go..lol

I am rookie..

Mike you bring to mind one of the big fights of mesalounge. There are some "bean complainers" over there for sure.

They all blame Johnny O for hiring pilots for beans, and that all these "new pilots" are working for beans.

They need to look in a mirror.

They give JO too much credit. It's been happening for at least three decades. After de-regulation, a few of the carriers started "Express" versions of their airlines, Pan-Am Express, TWE, American Eagle, etc.

This was something like 30 years ago.

All of us, yes even us old timers, at one time in our lives were willing to "work for beans." When I had 300 hrs would I have flown a jet for nothing? Darn right I would!

Only now, looking back, can I see the stupidity and yes, the futility of fighting it.

I've gotten to the point where I just skim Mesalounge for rumours and to see if anyone I know is posting. Most of the time I get so irritated reading posts written by chronic complainers that I have to play Mortal Kombat for two hours to get out my frustrations. After beating some guy to a pulp and ripping his spine out, I always feel better.
