2022 Christmas meltdown Competition enteries

can be applied to any 'group'..... Careful with the broad brush.... ;-)

Definitely, probably. But in my daily it's Dr.'s first and pilots second.

Doctors calling into the unit from their home, or their cars. Saying: "Hello, this is Doctor ______. I'm on my way in." And demanding that all their patients are awake when they get on the unit and lined up. Vitals taken and ready to see him so that they're not inconvienced. Like we should Goose step to them when they arrive on the milieu. Ripping into nurses or techs on the floor in front of other staff and patients and being demeaning and calling them stupid. Throwing their title around, or how much more schooling they have. Or how much more money they make. How much smarter etc. It's disgusting, they're disgusting. But worst of all hospital management are enablers and knows that these specific people are reprehensible. And if nurse, tech or social worker dares to stand up to them these types will run crying to hospital management and demand that the person be disiplined.

One of those types of doctors yelled at me in my face for disturbing him while he was with a patient. Well your lordship as a tech my job is patient and unit safety. You're supposed to make me aware when you have a patient in your office, because otherwise they're missing and unaccounted for and we thihnk they've obsconded and we have to start paperwork and reviewing cameras and putting the search out and calling the police et al. Mr. hot sh-t went to amdin and demanded that I be terminated.

Just sayin' doctors, they can be the very wrost!

I work with a lot of doctors of various types. While many (most?) are not at all like this, some certainly are, definitely at a level greater than you'd find in the general population.

From a purely anecdotal view, the more specialized a doctor is, the more likely they are to be a miserable person to work with. While I do know some awesome specialists that do a gre mat job leading their teams, I know a bunch more that rule by fear and ego. On the other hand, almost all of the ER/ED docs I know are absolutely awesome people to work with.

Absolutely!

Our Internal Medicine doctors are awesome. The doctors I described are psychiatrist and DNP's (Doctor of Nursing Practitioner) with emphasis on psych child and family. Both of which are specialist.

I told my wife that we are in a position such that she should NEVER take undeserved • from anyone at her hospital (she’s an ER RN). Nothing pisses me off more than jerks that think they can walk all over co-workers just because of their job title.

Fortunately her experience is the same as you - the ER docs are almost all really cool and approachable.

Somebody there was cheap because they didn't just use a new folder, and it wasn't the one with the original pen.

Riiiiight!

After witnessing her berate the nurse to tears about writing NP. I was surprised that her ego was satisfied with simply crossing out NP and that she didn't demand a brand new folder be made.

I work with Dr.'s daily. There are several that are arrogant, petty and narcissistic. That only want to be called Dr. They're always wearing the most expensive new scrubs. And driving the new hotness six figure price tag car brand. They typically treat techs and nurses like complete •. Typically that type is American.

Arab and E. Indian doctors are typically very kind and very approachable and very down to earth.

A nurse recently got chewed out, in front of everyone by a NP, excuse me DNP... sorry a doctor. Because they wrote NP on her folder. As you can see it was quickly changed. She ain't the type fling Spirit.
You’re going to love senior 121 captains.

So are we agreed that Southwest is the winner for 2022 and gets the golden boot award?

As in, you’re booted off this flight. And the next. And the next. And the next. And the next. And just drive to your destination, you’ll get there faster. And let us know if you see any of our pilots stranded and what cities you might have seen them in?
