121 guys, how does this happen? (AKA,Oh Delta)

Deltoids are the only pilots in the industry who have a complex that think others wished they were them and wearing naval suits and hats.

Let the hate flow.

Actually, I think it's just you.

Seriously. If there was ever a case for a visit to Occupational Health, I think it would be a good opportunity for you to go talk to someone about your strange obsession with a company you don't work for.

The stories write themselves, I only post it. :)

Obsessively.

Is it the uniform? It's just a standard Naval Officers uni you can get almost anywhere. I can send you some old accoutrement so you can cosplay if you'd like? :)

Is it… me? If I worked for United, would you be obsessed with them instead? What are you going to do when I retire?

It’s bad when I’m the one thinking that somebody needs to get a hobby.
Seriously. Dude lives in the part of the country with the best weather, any kind of cultural/culinary/other recreational experience imaginable accessible, plus enough money and travel bennies to enjoy it and is just miserable. At this point it’s not even mocking him to say that, it’s genuine concern and a wish for him to have a happier, better life.

Those do seem to be catching on here though, between UALs Aviate, SWAs D225, and probably a couple of others. Be interesting to see their effectiveness here, new as they are. Still on the fence about them personally.
And as soon as one of these balls one up, @Cherokee_Cruiser will be up in here going “see????”

Because I’m willing to talk about it. Most pilots just circle the wagons and laugh at the other pilot group when they can get a chance.

My theory is when we talk about poor leadership we can improve. Sadly there is no shortage of poor leadership on the flight deck these days.

Examples are easy to find. When I see a pilot bagging on an entire pilot group I point out it can happen where you work too. I’ve seen it.

In your eyes that’s a problem. In mine it’s a chance to show real leadership and improve. That’s leadership. I don’t care if 3 or 4 other people I’ve never met in real life get to point out anonymously that I have problems because in my day to day the people I work with thank me for my leadership.

I ask for feedback and let my coworkers know I want to be better. Last night it was thank you for not being a complainer. The previous trip thanks for not getting political.

Sadly it’s easy to be better than average. I’ll keep trying to be better than that.

Meh, I don’t really care. At that point, with that level of wealth and where he is in his career, misery and jealousy are conscious choices. The reason he gets ragged on a lot is it seems like it’s become an entire personality and (at least speaking for myself), people get tired of hearing it over and over again so they start giving him crap.

Culinary? Not the food I like. I have yet to find good Arabic food ANYWHERE in America outside Dearborn, MI. I live for this every time I go to Michigan.

Although there is Sbarros in the mall that’s 2 minutes away.
