ExpressJet upgrade running around 4 years right now. Could change for better or worse depending on many factors. It's too bad pay isn't higher, because this really isn't a "stepping stone" like many think... to be honest, this airline is run better than many "major airlines" out there right now.

Smaller planes, smaller paycheck I guess. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Matt, I say stepping stone due to the pay, that's all. I'm sure a few of the companies are run very well. I'm with you man, it's too bad. But as we know there are many variables that made it that way. Oh well.

So, you having a good time at XJet? Hope so. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I was just going to ask that........ /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Smilecrunch.gif

PHILISTINE!

Good for you, Mr. Moneypenny!

I've never heard a Cherry pilot tell me that he didn't have a blast flying a plane with bull's balls on it. I'd go in a second if I was single (or driving a 40K lb STOL bird!!!!). And as far as equip goes- IT'S FREIGHT! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You'll be in ze majors before I upgrade, apparently /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif.

Good luck-

Jimmy!
Congrats on reaching the big 1200! Wow. Isn't it amazing the different roads we take to achieve our goals? I think you are doing great and I know you have busted your butt and paid your dues. I am reaching the point of no return too.... I am tired of telling my instrument students "IF YOUR WINGS ARE NOT LEVEL YOU ARE TURNING" LOL. How funny is that? While I was sitting out in Jax you were stubborn enough to hold the course and stay home. I applaud you. Hell, 1000 hours can't come soon enough. In regards to Scary Air, I talked to one of their pilots and he told me he can't fly one flight without one of the Lears having an engine failure, an engine fire, or depressurization in the plane. I think I'll pass on them. I heard Ameriflight requires like 1300 total. We had a guy in the office the other day. He did seem very happy with them. I might look that way soon. Who knows. See ya in the skies.......I can hear our soundtrack playing now.......

Mesa gets a bum rap from people in the industry, but it's not entirely deserved. Bogberto is a CRJ capt there, he can answer your questions on what it's *really* like working there.

[/ QUOTE ]

But Bog says he hates it..........and the management. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Alright, I asked for dissenting opinions, so I'll call you out-- gimmie some valid info on regionals that have the upgrade times you say, and I won't give you an argument! But remember, I want VALID info. Verifiable, capice? If you can't cough up, then stuff it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Thats professional. Get pissy when you hear what you don't want to.

By the way, if anyone tells you they have "verifiable" info. on upgrade times, they're high. Its a crapshoot.

Also, doesn't Cherry Air fly Falcon 20s too? That's what I used to see them running into PHX back in my previous life.

I should've said, hates working there because of the management. Good peeps to work with, though.

Garnered that off Mesalounge....the most anti kum-by-ya website I've seen next to flightinfo.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jim,

Yeah--CommutAir does like people to walk-in their apps. However, there was a guy at KTOL this past weekend who was a new hire. Said he just sent his resume in, and just followed up on it. Best of luck to you!
