As a side note, I had one of the worst experiences of my life wrt flying commercially last night. It was in a CRJ or something like it so this is relevant

Basically US Airways is the worst airline in the world, and their customer service is second to everyone.....or 100th. One non-refundable night at the Westin in Charlotte that I wasn't able to enjoy, one checked bag soaked all the way through (and several books, a pair or expensive leather shoes, and some nice shirts destroyed), several extremely unhelpful gate agents that took visible pleasure out of telling me that I couldn't re-book onto a more reasonable flight the next day (one of whom actually gave me the "talk to the hand" gesture), and 8 hours after my original scheduled arrival, I was home in bed. It might have been ISA+something, so this is the right thread
