    Aerostars

They're a fast solid 4 place aircraft (5 if they're small humans). They're not any more expensive to operate than their Cessna counterparts; cost per nm, they're actually cheaper. If you're thinking about perusing and Aerostar, checkout Beechtalk. There's a 171 thread regarding the Aerostar.

I saw one pop-up on TAP a few weeks ago. My wife had to talk me out of buying it. Glassair III speeds, twin Comanche redundancy, Baron price.

    FlexJet

Again news to me. My first year at my airline I was in that range. Sure, there are some airlines where first year is $50, but the folks know that going in; well, second year more than makes up for first years deficits, not to mention the DC, pension and so on.

My LW plastic frame is going on 7 years with zero issues. My backup is a TravelPro, which the company provided. If I was to buy a new bag tomorrow, it would more than likely be another plastic frame LW.

I renewed mine last year. My company supplied a letter, I did it in person at the DTW Passport office. It was painless and I had it within 2 hours.

Leave for Frontier or stay at Atlas

I still think Atlas is a feeder for Brown. We had 3 Omni, 3-5 Atlas, 5ish Qatar/Emrites, 1 corporate and the rest military. I definitely could see Amazon buying ATSG. As of last year, they were the majority share holder.

Leave for Frontier or stay at Atlas

Just for reference: I interviewed with 2 legacies (DAL & SWA) and got the TBNT, 6 months later was hired at Brown. You never know until it happens. I didn't have any internals, either. I came from an ACMI background. I personally would stay at Atlas.

Been a while! Looking for a Pacer (little wheel on either end) or the like...

With the current market, it makes more sense to pick up a Mitsi or C501 - they're going for the same price as Cessnas and Pipers. I've been looking for a B55/58 or a 310Q/R and it doesn't make any sense until the market calms down.

Stay at NK or go to AA

There's been a lot of good advice on this thread. Ultimately it comes down to what you want. If AA will make life easier and a better QOL, then AA is a good option. Even if you do get a TBNT, life isn't over. You're making good money with a decent retirement at NK.

Aircraft Down in San Diego (Dec 27)

Very common. In 2015 I flew 1160hrs & 2016 I flew 990hrs. This is very sad news. The medevac industry is small; I knew a lot of the folks from different companies, we often ended up at the same destinations (major hospitals). RIP
