There seem to be a few butt hurt delta pilots pissed that we didn’t trigger their snap up.

There are pilots who will get butt hurt that the free pizza in the LAX pilot lounge wasn't hand delivered to the cockpit.
"I'm only on a two hour turn, I have to walk all the way to the lounge for a couple slices?! UNITED HAS IT CODIFIED IN THEIR CONTRACT IT GETS DELIVERED!"

Snap ups are stupid. They exist because large parts of pilot groups are short sighted and have no ability to accept delayed gratification.
Snap-ups, in my opinion, are nothing more than chest-bumping internet bravado.
Airline A gets rates 10% higher than Airline B: "We're the highest paid!"
Airline B says "Ha! Not to fast!"
Meanwhile, their underlying work rules are vastly different so the rates don't matter for comparison anyway.

Wait, you guys get pizza in LA? Us NYC pukes only get slimy turkey sandwiches.
I don't think they are entirely stupid with a contract that is already QOL heavy. Every airline is different and if one focuses more on pay rates it could definitely pay some dividends. That said, I only expected a bump of 2-4% max as a result. Nothing too terribly ground breaking.
Oh there was an onboard meal option with a plant-based patty.
There were a handful of vocal people who flipped. the F. OUT.
I mean we've had black bean patties, soy burgers, BOCA burgers, but since "Beyond Meat" sounds politicized oh there was deluxe nuttery.

It’s amazing what pilots will complain about. That sounds amazing compared to instant coffee and barely passable food (depending on the station) during a 3-4 leg night.

I won’t repeat the story that finally made me take an upgrade that might have resulted me in commuting to reserve (it actually didn’t…had a line from day 1).
Suffice to say, the conversation with myself went something like “f$@ this s$@/!”.
The fact that my airplane keeps November Echo up at night was a happy, happy bonus.
It seems that negative people generally have negative experiences from flight attendants. Friendly people have good experiences.
