Just an email I received on Friday at 4:56pm EST from Micki Griffin:

I apologize for not answering your e-mail earlier; we are currently experiencing an overwhelming number of e-mails and phone calls.

We had an En Route panel convene this week and a Terminal panel convened the week of September 8. If either the Terminal or En Route panel selected you, you will hear via e-mail. It could take up to 60 days for our processing team to complete all computer work involved and to make notifications. I am sorry, but there is no way to find out the outcome any sooner. If you do not hear anything by the first week of November, feel free to inquire either over the phone or e-mail.

If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Great info! Thanks! It's good to read something DIRECTLY from the source vs. all this "he said she said" stuff.
 
i gotta say, i don't know what to expect. i am staying optimistic about hearing something sooner than later, but at the same time am not getting my hopes up. i am thinking sooner than later because if you look at how things are going, we know that the terminal panel met the week before enroute met. that gives them a week to get PEPC invites made for those who chose terminal. with that said, we also know that there are only 22 centers across the US. the way that i see it, the center PEPC's won't take as long as the terminal, so maybe (and it's just my optimistic opinion) we will hear something sooner than later. maybe they just tell us 2-4 weeks because it COULD take that long, but they would rather overshoot than undershoot, because if they did that, then they know good and well that their HR office would be flooded with calls which would in turn slow the process even longer. i know i was told that i would get my test results in 1-2 weeks and had it the next day! here's to hoping! :crazy:

Well you won't see anything on ASAP...and everything is done in CST so given that it's barely the start of their day over there, I didn't get my hopes up. I'm just going to go with Friday, that way, if anything comes before that, it's a pleasent surprise!

*Does anyone else hate it when they view the forum for a few days and the PUBNAT2 thread sits at the bottom for awhile...and then some posts bump it to the top?? I always think people started getting emails!! :panic:

This process has made me a robot. turn on computer. check email. go to jetcareers.

Nah ... I've gotten to know some of the personalities on here... when the first emails come out it will be a rat race for someone to post a ******OFFICIAL PUBNAT2 PEPC INVITE THREAD************ and then there will be a few variations ***OFFICIAL NYC PEPC FOR PUBNAT2***** ****OFFICIAL I GOT MY CONFIRMATION FOR MY PEPC*******

And so on and so forth.... lol... it's funny cuz it's true. :)

So true! I've gotten to the point that when I get home from work, I check Jetcareers before I even bother with my e-mail. I figure if there's no new thread, I didn't get the e-mail we're all waiting for.
 
I totally agree....this darn thing is taking over my life!!! Why can't we just get the emails already, the suspense is killing me!!!! :mad: This whole thing is a deciding factor of where I move and finally get to a place in life where my fiance and I can be together!! The whole distance relationship is killer!
 
The Word I Have Been Told By Some People Is The Following:

-MASS Emails will be sent concerning the November and December PEPC's next week....

-Facility Managers have the list of candidates "slotted" for their facility. It has been emailed to them already so if you are close with the manager or have met them you might be able to give them a ring and pick their minds. A few people I know have already found out this way and now are just waiting for the PEPC dates.......

It's really tempting, but I don't know if I feel comfortable calling up and asking if Im on the list. I want to, but I think it might come off as, well... something.. I'm just not sure what.

I also feel like I would never get the right person on the phone. I picture it being like calling Best Buy and asking the first person who picks up how to install a new hard drive and getting upset when they don't know.

I feel the exact way, so I haven't been calling. I hate bothering people because I hate when people bother me! I also wouldn't even know how to go about asking without coming across as a jack-ass...

I wasn't really specific as to which facilities I wanted to work at just the counties like the GeoPref said to put so I'm not going to bother. That and I don't want to experience what Wyopoke described...

Same here... I didn't ask for one specific facility, so I'd rather not even try... it's not like it's going to change what happens if I find out now or if I wait for the email.

Exactly. Plus, I'd rather not be disappointed any earlier than I have to be. I want to wait and be disappointed at the same time as everybody else.:)
