Hey chichi or anyone else who's beeen around to know whats going on..is there a post that explains the whole process from "zero to hero" i.e taking the test to oKC? I'm still having trouble following all of the jargon used here...geo-pref's TOl..FOL etc...
Ok... the general idea...
1. Apply - self explanatory

2. Receive authorization on ASAP (Automated Staffing and Application Process) to take the AT-SAT (Air Traffic Selection and Training). Your information is sent to Robinson Aviation and they will contact you to schedule your test.
3. Take the AT-SAT, receive your score... 70-84.9 is qualified, 85-100 is well qualified
4. Anyone who passed the AT-SAT (scored above 70) will receive a geographic preference email. This is where you choose up to 2 states and whether you want to be considered for terminal, enroute, or both.
5. Next, you may be put onto a referral list... the status of the list is updated on ASAP. You will only see that you're being considered or you're not... it's nothing too interesting, but a step forward anyway... not everyone will be on a list.
6. If you're on the referral list, your application will be reviewed when the hiring panel meets. This is where they make their selections. If you're selected, you will be contacted with a PEPC (Pre-Employment Processing Center) invite and in this email, you find out what state you've been selected for and whether you're going terminal or enroute in said state.
7. Go to a PEPC if you can... at the PEPC you find out exactly what facility you've been selected for and you will receive your TOL (Tentative Offer Letter). You'll also have your interview, medical, security, and psych all in that one day. Some people will receive a tentative OKC start date at the PEPC too.
8. Wait for your FOL (Firm/Final Offer Letter) and official OKC start date.
9. OKC time :nana2:
Add some waiting time between each point and there you have it
