***PUBNAT4***

So what do you suggest? Who do you want us to call to schedule the test? I'm under the impression that no matter what, we have to wait for robinson to schedule our test. And it's site location dependent and nothing else.:confused:

If you've gotten the test notice on ASAP, then go ahead and call Robinson up: (405) 840-3771. They should have your name down already and will know where you're testing at. I would do this right away, because regardless if your email happened to get lost in the system, or they have the wrong address, or whatever, if you miss the deadline, you'll probably have to wait until the next announcement to get your test scheduled.

If you're curious, here's what the email looks like. My test was in Houston, so YMMV when it comes to the location.

Congratulations. You have been selected to take the Air Traffic Selection and Training (AT-SAT) test. This letter is notification that your testing location is Houston, TX. You will be scheduled for a single, 8-hour testing session during the period August 13 – August 15, 2008. All travel and lodging arrangements and expenses are your responsibility. The test will be administered for the FAA by Robinson Aviation (RVA), Inc.

Test dates will be assigned on a first call, first served basis. You must call Robinson Aviation at (405) 840-3771 between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Central Time no later than August 6, 2008 and speak with a test scheduler. Please write down your test date. Once we have scheduled your date, you will not be contacted about the test again. It is your responsibility to remember your test date and arrive on time for the test. If you are not available during this time or are no longer interested in taking the AT-SAT test, please call and let us know.

The test will be given in the Meeting Room at The Residence Inn Houston Westchase Hotel and will begin promptly at 8:00 AM.

The Residence Inn Houston Westchase Hotel is located at:
9965 Westheimer (intersection of Westheimer and Elmside)
Houston, TX 77042
(713) 974-5454
Please do not call the hotel regarding this test!

Identity verification will take place prior to testing. You need to arrive at the testing room before 7:45 AM on your scheduled test date. Please bring this letter and two forms of identification. One form must be a photo ID issued by a government agency. Both must have your signature. Remember, you must have two forms of identification.

The test will be video/audio taped for security purposes.

You will not be allowed to use electronic devices such as calculators, personal digital assistants (PDAs), cell phones, or calculator watches during the test, nor will you be allowed any written material. You will not need pencil and paper and these will not be allowed in the test room. No cameras or visitors are allowed in the test room. The test is computer-based requiring the use of a keyboard, mouse, and headset.
The test is self-paced and the maximum time allowed for the test is eight hours which includes two 15-minute breaks and a 45-minute lunch period. You may take additional breaks, but the total time allowed will remain eight hours regardless of the number of breaks you take.

Again, a testing slot will not be reserved for you unless you call Robinson Aviation (RVA), Inc. and coordinate a test date. We look forward to seeing you at the AT-SAT test.

i was authorized to take the atsat but no email
i tried calling the robinson place and they said they had to recive something from the faa to schedule the test

Excellent! I just received the AT-SAT confirmation email this morning. I have my test scheduled in Socal in late September.

Thanks guys!

I received my authorization to take the AT-SAT on 08/26 and I got my E-mail on 09/04 to take the test between 09/16 - 09/19 in Daytona. I knew that was going to happen too, because I scheduled a vacation to Colorado to leave on 09/17...so at least I had 09/16 to get in for the test. I don't know what I would have done if they didn't have that day listed!

Well, at least you'll have the vacation to help keep your mind off waiting for the score!

Woohoo! Just recieved the email too and scheduled my date on the 24th of september!:rawk::rawk:

Sweet man! Covina test site?

If so, how bout lunch together? This way i could calm my already nervous nerves between tests! Hahaha

Haha, that should work I would assume, unless all of us take tiny breaks to get it over with lol. I think we get a 45 minute lunch from what the email states so we should all be good to go. Yeah, this is at the Covina site.

The email does say that, but you can take breaks whenever you want for how every long you want and however many times you want. It has suggested break times and lunch times. I just wouldn't take a break during the timed portions. The only guideline is that you finish by the cut off time.

You guys won't take lunch at the same time. Each section is self paced and the lunch is in between sections, not at a certain time. So sorry, no little tea party at lunch time.

Awww shucks. Oh well. I was really hoping for a tea party. I guess next time....:laff:

When i took my test, there was about six of us that got to the lunch break around the same time and we all went to eat together.

Just got the e-mail to take the AT-SAT between Sept. 18th and Sept. 26th in Covina, CA. Time to see who flys there the cheapest....

Wow! I forgotten that I had applied back in June for PUBNAT 4! I got the email yesterday that I was selected! Woo Hoo! Anyone going to be in OKC on the 22nd?

To reiterate what I just posted in PUBNAT3's thread:

I was just on the phone with aviation careers division for a while. They kept me on hold while they called around to some other folks there to find out what PUBNAT3 wants to know. Very useful information:

PUBNAT3's AT-SAT was going to be considered for the panels this week (9/8), but the scores came out too late for that to happen.

PUBNAT3 will be considered for panels that will meet on either the first or second week of November. He did not know which week or when terminal and en route are. Just that that is when panels will be held.

It will be interesting to see if PUBNAT4 will catch up in time to be considered for this panel.

From what he said about PUBNAT3 it looks like the FAA is willing to consider two announcements at one panel and that it almost happened for the September panels.
