Nice change of heart from the guy who was going to fail the CPL!
:nana2:
Even though I was nervous as hell, I still kept going at it and didn't give up! And see the end result? (Passing CPL)

I think for the most part it has been increasingly harder to ignore the overwhelming amount of dis-content, bankrup, and furloughs. Aviation in a lot of ways is an investment in the soul. It is so predominantly driven by passion and sometimes can excruciatingly hard to be rational. I think I do have what it takes to make it however. I saved money for the last two years and paid for my instrument in cash with money left for at least my Commercial and CFI. It's always harder to leap into such a dark abyss with no guarantees. But I have never doubted that I have what it takes to make it. It was merely exercising my deep analysis on my life and what I want. From all the good to all the bad JC has been where it’s at. Thanks for all the input and good luck to all facing these challenges......
If you are doing it part 61 you need to build time. If you have buddies that will help pay for gas, go for a lot of $100 hamburgers. enjoy the ride and stay current whatever you do. Good luck!I decided to pursue Commercial. Still working and paying as I go.....
BTW, this just in....the regionals are not the only way to build time or make it to the majors. Outside of 121 there is PLENTY of hiring still going on. Well paying too. Corporate airplane manufacturers are backed up for years on aircraft orders. 135 operators are hiring.
Look at Turbomax97, got his class cancelled at SKW and already has a job. Why? Because he has alittle more than 500hrs. The best thing you can do for your career is build experience. Just got a job and keep adding to your logbook.
Guys need to stop fixating on the regionals like its the only path to go. You can always come in later and check the 121 experience box off and head to a major with out even upgrading if you got the other qualifications somewhere else like freight dawging.
So DenverPilot8 stop fixating on the airlines, get the rest of your tickets, and start building some experience.
Can you give us some examples of of all these place that are hiring?
I don't think I've been that fixated on the airlines as much as I've had tunnel vision about wanting to be a professional pilot. Lastly I just said that I'm pursuing my Commercial.
...great lakes is still hiring a lot. We keep on winning more EAS contracts than we know what to do with. More planes and pilots are going to be needed, plus you get to stay in Denver. I am not sayng go spend 25 grand in 6 mos, but there is always the possibility you could get hired on with GLA next spring.
