Someone from earlier posted a score in the 70s and got picked up for West Virginia. I've been thinking about doing the same thing and putting Mississippi just in case but don't want to get it if my first choice is available.
I am definately putting GA down, but I haven't decided my next choice. Maybe SC,NC,KY,TN,or AL. I would probably choose AL, but am afraid that there aren't that many slots, and i haven't read where anyone has been selected for AL yet.I think you should definitely try putting your first choice down! Who knows! Maybe your first choice will be somewhere nobody wants to be.![]()

Sounds like someone is slacking...
Is Al your #1 pickMaybe no one wants to go to AL![]()
I talked with some one in the Careers Division today and was asking about my test score (7/10 Holtsville) because I saw some of you lucky peeps getting a 24hr turn around. The Lady sounded "half surprised" that some had their scores which made me think that your test score is completely at the mercy of the person who gets it...anic: does that sound like it makes sense of these random turn around times????
Maybe there was a computer glitch and all of the test data for 7/10 has been lost.I talked with some one in the Careers Division today and was asking about my test score (7/10 Holtsville) because I saw some of you lucky peeps getting a 24hr turn around. It seems like each day is handled by the same person/people... I say this because we 7/14 people all seem to have our scores, even though we tested at different locations. You 7/10 people are all still waiting (that I'm seeing)... it really may just be what you said... you're at the mercy of the person for that day.

I think that brings it together and makes a lot of sense. I guess us 7/10 peeps got the short end of the patience stick....:banghead:
Thats ok, it puts hair on your chest:crazy:
Here is some information that i pulled from this site http://testimony.ost.dot.gov/test/krakowski2.htm that may be interesting.
The most recent data shows that average training time to achieve CPC status is 1.4 years for terminal controllers, and 2.6 years for en route controllers. We have achieved this reduction, not by cutting training time or quality, but by improving the training and scheduling processes, and by the increased use of training technologies such as simulators.

Can someone clarify how we are assigned our work facility? From what I'm reading, we're placed on a referral list based (hopefully) on our geographical preferences. Those preferences are only specific to a certain state though, right? So if I chose Texas as my preference and got it, they could place me with any facility in Texas without my input?
