Have you ever seen the movie "Two Can Play That Game"? I believe she calls it "Spring Fever"... Every one has been cooped up all winter and now it's spring and all these people are going out, dressing to a T, and some want that spring freshness...
Yeah, it's not like dudes haven't been cheating on women since time began.
Sorry about your girlfriend, but don't worry, you'll get over it, and probably find someone more compatible for you.

Eh, I might be somewhat promiscuous. But, then I'm single, so I can do what I want.
But, being gay, and knowing the stereotypical sexual patterns of men, I'd say that I'm extremely gun shy about commitment, just because I fear being hurt.
But, I do believe in monogamy, and if I ever were to settle down, I'd be faithful.
I believe in quality over quantity. Lots of gay men, hold out, always thinking they can do better, and that if they settle down, they might miss out on something, or someone better.
I'm a realist, in that I know that there will always be someone younger, hotter et al. But, I believe like "the play" personality is the "thing," the glue, that keeps people together, and happy.
Not something, as petty as physical attraction. Now, if only other gay and heterosexual men and women also knew the same!

It's chilly so I'm kind of low-motivation this evening so I went out for beer and tapas and meandered back to the hotel. FA's are a little "hissy", captain's out with his family and the FO and I went out for beer (for me, he's not a drinker) tapas and a nice long conversation about existentialism, Kierkgaard and Nietzsche.
Brother be thinking and shizzle.

...I'm convinced that women really don't want or appreciate honesty! You tell them that you're gay and 2 months of constant phone calls 2-3 times a day and multiple text daily go right out the window.

True story. . . mine. Thirty three years ago. I'm dating a girlfriend. Thought I was hittin' like I was supposed to be. . . turns out not to really be the case, as she was out there. . .I mean REALLY out there. Everyone knew but me. During those periods when she wasn't around, turns out I was most compatible with her roommate; turns out I was truly hooked on her roommate as a whole person soulmate. The "ex" was a nice booty call though.
Three years later, married the roommate. Thirty years later, the ex girlfriend, whose now an ADA in Florida, still tries to rekindle a lost love after being severely rejected by me back in the day. I lost no sleep over it; made me a better man for it. Made me happy I found out who she was back then that I did not find out later if I had been stupid enough to have married her.
Life is good!
On a more serious note, I did have to self-analyze what I was or was not doing which is why she betrayed our trust when she said she were monogamous. Turns out I wasn't giving her what she wanted. Had she communicated it to me, she would have gotten it; she simply never asked, but she lied to me, so that was it for us.
It's all about trust; if it aint there, move on. Say to yourself it wasn't you, for if it were, she would have told you.
Now, if she did communicate it to you and you failed to respond appropriately, that's on you.
Women are like homework bro, you do it but don't fall in love while doing it. Ok that was lame but on a serious note maybe her cheating ways is a message that maybe you need to step you game up a little bit and stop accusing her of being a tramp. Remember, attraction isn't a choice, a woman cannot choose to feel attraction for you. It is certain qualities that you must possess in order for her to want you and be faithful to you. Take this as a lesson learned and figure out what works and don't rush into another relationship until you figure out what you really want. Continue doing what you love and let the wimminz chase you, they love the challenge.
