Piece of Trash
....I wind up back at the training center for another two weeks of classes....then CPTs....then another oral....then more sim training....oh, and another check ride. Hopefully soon after that my pay check will see a significant increase, too. :)

Congrats on the upgrade. I suppose it's time for you to start studying again.:nana2:

Yeah, I've been in the books for a while now just trying to get a head start. Nice thing is the CA I'm flying with on my last trip (hopefully) as an FO will more than likely let me do all the flows for him. The past two trips, I've had CAs looking at me and saying "Okay. What now "captain?" just to get me used to doing all the decision making stuff. That's one of the great things about Pinnacle. You'll hear us complain all day about our management here, but we've got, IMO, one of the best pilot groups out there. If you need help on something or want to practice for upgrade, our guys will help you out.

If I've got time, I'll try to do a "blow by blow" of upgrade training on the forums similar to what I did for initial training WAY back in the day.

I had guys do that for me too. At first I thought it was cool. Then I realized they were just lazy.:)

Congrats man.

You guys are lucky, start to finish my upgrade was 10 days not including days off (I had 2 in the middle). That includes ground, CPT, sim, and checkride. I felt ready but would've liked a little more ground beforehand I think on "captain stuff" besides the charm school.

Congrats on the award!

I wish i had that. I am off for 7 months, come back fly the line for a month and a half, then take 3 weeks of for another mil. leave and then start upgrade. Boy, I am gonna be rusty in the sims. It should be interesting.....sorry chris. haha

WHAT?? thats just crazy! Arent you at air Whisky?

AFAIK the failure rate is in the 5% range so I wouldn't say it's crazy. What do you guys do with 2 weeks of ground?!? I'd go nuts.

Congrats Steve!

Just remember the most important part of being a Captain, the first flight briefing that goes...

"Don't get me killed, violated, or fired."

Way to go Steve!:nana2: Are you going to be able to hold MEM or will you have to commute to those colder places?
