Layers. Basic survival theory.
Honestly, though, it's not that bad. You get used to it pretty quick. But just remember, you chose to come to school in North Dakota, it's gonna be cold. Live with it!
On a cheerier note, welcome to UND!Enjoy your time and make some friends, it's not as bad as people like to make it out to be. :nana2:
As much of a jokester Jace is being, it IS true. Fat insulates amazingly well. Otherwise, wear several layers. I wear an a-shirt, a long sleeve shirt, a sweater, and then an outer layer/jacket (windproof). It works really well. I do wear double socks. Dress socks are too thin for the cold, and being out in those ramps and airplanes just kills my feet, so I wear double.Just immerse yourself into the North Dakotan culture: EAT fatty bland foods and become obese.
That is the key to staying warm!
lol...the best thing you can do to combat cold is go to school somewhere else.
Since I will be transferring to UND next fall, does anyone have any good tips on preparing for the cold. I do dislike the cold so I am trying to stock up on warm stuff. thanks
Yeah.... drink a whole lot of crappy beer and get fat...... or find some North Dakotan princess to keep you warm during the cold months!

If you're really lucky, she'll where sweat pants all the time and tuck them into he awesome boots.![]()
You know, I've seen a lot of girls here in California wearing exactly that (no joke). It ain't just a ND thing...![]()
