I'm starting at ATP in March for the Career Pilot Program, really looking forward to this. I've got 125 hours and my writtens done. This is gonna be great!

Hey Rob,
Does ATP send out the books & study guides as soon as I pick a start date & put down my deposit? I am not yet ready to lock in my start date although I figure it will be this May. Can you tell me what written tests I should prepare for/take? I hope I can get them out of the way before I start to make life easier for me. Thanks!
Hey Rob, was just wondering where can i get the test material (question bank with answers) for the instrument and commercial as well as the FI--atp only sent me the ppl stuff for my start date in April - I have already gone through all the ppl stuff wanted to stay ahead of the game. I did a search on Ebay some materials being sold on Ebay but i want to make sure i have the most current. What would you recommend.Yup, as soon as you drop your deposit, they send you the box of books.
As for writtens you will be required to do all of these during the 90 days:
Instrument Written
Commercial Written
Fundamentals Of Instructing
Flight Instructor Written (I cant remember the exact name of it right now)
Instrument Instructor Written
Commercial and FI written are very closely related.
Instrument and Instrument Instructor are the EXACT same tests. They use the same word bank, so go ahead and take those at the same time.
Fundamentals of Instructing has a question bank of only like 129 questions. At riverside the record finishing time for that written was like 2 minutes with a 100% score, its pretty easy.

Thanks Rob --what a fantastic resource (www.exam4pilots.org)WOW
hey
just curious about the medical, are you suppose to get it first before you arrive at atp or when they tell you too?
Also one final question, can you hit the simulator as much as you want? or is it limited to a certain # of hours? I figure its limited but read some stuff about guys training to wee hours of the morning etc.
Anyone got any tips for the private multi checkride?
First Class medicals require an EKG after age 35, and an annual EKG after age 40. Look in the Part 67 FARS for more detail... but that's the basic gist of it.I hope this isn't too off topic but at what point are EKG's required?
