Retiring from Govt. service at age 55. Interested in flying full time for 5-10 years, (depending on mandatory retirement age). Hold ATP and type ratings. Do you think there is a chance of getting on with a regional?

Maybe even a major . . Contenental can't find enough people right now. A captain there was trying to recruit me on the LAX bus one day and I only have 100pic turbine.

I flew King Airs at Sky Trek in MOD for about 10 months. I could log the 91 stuff and two crewmember stuff that I was flying as PIC.

Just out of personal curiousity, would you mind sharing what you did for the G? A few of us here do or have worked for the Feds.

I believe mid-08, but that is not confirmed.

I have only 15 hours in the actual aircraft, 100+ in the level D Beechjet Simulator. My job was to watch and evaluate other people fly for type ratings and 135 checkrides.

In order to have an ATP I figured that you must have a buch of time in airplanes. So let's get clear here . . .
