Price Increase again

Some of my buddies at ATP says that that price increased again to 54,995 for the Career Program, Its not on their website yet, but expect an announcement in the next couple weeks.

Im not going to recommend the ACP anymore. Just the CFI school for your CFI ratings, then you can get hired and get the multi time without paying 50 Grand extra.

I KNEW this would happen. when they raised it from 45 - 50k, I knew that wasn't going to cut it. With the cost of AV gas at my location at 7.70, and the hiring boom, its win win to raise the cost. I can't justify 55 grand for flight training.

Tis true...just got off the phone with them. They're raising the price of the career program to make it more "airline specific" the guy in JAX said.

One thing he could mention is that the airline career program will now include the CRJ transition program at the end.

So now, it's mandatory, for the career program and no longer optional!

Anyone remember when ATP was the quickest, cheapest, no frills best quality training out there. Now there is no difference between them Pan Am, FSI et al. Tis a shame!

Well then, I would highly suggest shopping around and taking your business somewhere that doesn't rape you in the pocket book.

There are dozens of schools that have appropriately priced programs, part 61 and 141.

Word on the street is CFI pay is going to be raised to $3k a month.

By street I mean the talk in the back of a certain citation during a jet ride.

You forgot Career Pilot School! :nana2:

I know Michael, to be honest, I left it out because I really have no knowledge of your guy's costs over there at CPS. But I'm glad you guys are in the sub-55k range.

Good on you for not raping people's pocket book.

Yea, but who wants to move across the country from Arizona to the ATL or Ft. Pierce FL.???

Or Texas right? I mean really - Texas? Puh-leaze. . . :)

I'd move anywhere to not pay 55k for Inst, CP-ASMEL, CFI/II/MEI. And well, I did. . .lol . . .just so happens it was back home.

Not saying I agree with 55k nor have I heard about it but lets remember the price of av gas has yet to come down. In addition we all knew prices would increases with the Djets.... Also in addition the ACP I do believe is going to included the RJ course at some point during the training. I dont know when but I heard something along these lines.... Anyways its not for everyone, the ACP is good for those who need a change and NEED it fast.

Well, FAA and CPS are both currently $49k for ACPS, hardly cheap and in fact that's ATP's current price pre increase. After living expenses and check ride fees that probably aren't added into that $49k rate it should be bout' $55k if not more. And this is no slam against either school. Just stating the facts as I see them!

Where as a school in Texas quoted me $25k to get'r done!

49k, here at Falcon?

Who told you that nonsense?

More like $38k, with your ppl training included.

Nevertheless, I don't lump in living costs, or checkride fees, or other auxiliary costs when evaluating schools. Just too many variables.

Hours of flight time, and duration of period of training. Whoever comes out with the better product, should get the money. That's what I tell everyone. It may not be Falcon, CPS, Skymates, or Ari. . .but just make sure you're making the right decision for yourself.

No no no Max, where'd you get that figure?

Nevertheless, forget it. Your decision is made - so it doesn't matter. But for anyone else's information - 49k, @ FAA. . .no.

I called once a couple months back and was quoted some figure in the $40's!

Sorry to speak out of turn!

EVERYTHING is included in our price. Taxes, checkride fees, written test fees, housing, and sales tax. Just wanted to point that out. :D

That'd be great, but don't get my hopes up too high now, a 100% increase in pay sounds like a no bonus system to me. I'm not holding my breath, atp's filled their slots instructor wise.

"talk in the back of a certain citation during a jet ride"

Wonder what that cost you? Oh, yeah, it's included in the deal so it was free....

I think ATP can do whatever they want with the regionals so hungry to hire their grads. All they gotta do is push the "pipeline" from ATP to airline job, and guys will get a loan for twice what it costs now cause they see it as "THE" way to buy an airline job. And, isn't a job as an airline pilot priceless?

Well now that de727ups has posted in here, thats my cue to leave this thread forever.

I know where this #### is going.
