Stay off the avenues and "baseline" ain't!![]()
:yeahthat: True dat! I guess he already found out that you need to be in an amored vehicle if you want to travel Indian School RD. Baseline isn't as bad as Van Buren! Stay away from 410 N. 44th Street Suites 100 & 700 at all costs. It's really bad there!Stay off the avenues and "baseline" ain't!![]()
I'll PM you my digits. And stay outa Maryvale, lol!

Welcome to PHX; and I'm sure glad I'm not there!Welcome back to the states.

Rosatti's pizza is the bomb! Best pizza in PHX, ya gotta try it!
Now the next magic trick is getting you to answer your phone!![]()
Baseline Rd is down in Tempe, Mesa, and some other burbs. It's pretty long. Mostly restraunts, apartments, strip malls, the Tempe Mall and and so forth.Exactly what, what where I guess, is baseline? Sounds like I really don't want to know.![]()
I lived there almost a year and still didn't explore most of metro PHX! Oh and the address I gave 410 N. 44th Street is Mesa's HQ. Stay away like it was the depths of he-double hockey sticks!Well look, here's the thing. We have been here less then a week, and that is really not enough time in an area to start to trash talk. I don't know where everyone live around here, and the last thing I want to do is rag someone's area.
BUT......
I can say that when I'm driving around an area, and I pass by things like "Mo' Money Pawn Shop," yeah, if we were in a Bradley I would have certainly told my wife to lock the hatch and go and mount the 7.62!![]()
Oh snap, that was you bro?
Sorry bout that. When you called I was in the movie theater watching Pirates of the Carribean with some friends, then we went out to dinner.
I'll have to call you later today.
Maryvale, is one of the PHX ghettos, it's on the avenues!
Pirates - worth it, not worth it?

You need to be aware that in the metro area, yes even in Scottsdale and Tempe, you can go from a great neighborhood to the ghetto in 2 blocks. It is the craziest place I have ever lived. You just need to drive around, go back after dark or in the evening to see how it changes, and watch for the soft signs (grafitti, etc) of decay.
Welcome to the Valley of the Sun.
At least you don't have to worry about the "Baseline rapist" and the snipers anymore! I asked myself what I got myself into when we're living there.
Is that where the whole “Baseline Rapist” thing was? And the sniper incident? That was over there too?
We were still in Europe when all of that was going on, so we didn’t hear about it so much. Well, glad to know that it is all over now. We just closed on a rental house in Glendale, way way (WAY) up north. I figure we will be out of the mainstream goings on.
Where exactly did you live when you were over here Bubba?
Well, I have seen as low as $3.03 already (Not that this eases that blow much). However, like I mentioned in the last post, now that we have taken a drive around I already know a few areas that we don't need to drive through again (Without a M2 Bradleyfighting vehicle that is).
You mean hanging out on 24th St. and Van Buren WASN'T a good idea???

If you're anywhere near Carl Hayden highschool, you need to be in an M2!
:laff:
Yeah it was pretty hectic during that time. everyone was always looking over their sholder hoping they weren't going to get sniped walking down the street. Women were scared to venture out at night. Crazy stuff.
We lived in Tempe on the corner of University and Priest. It was just a quick trip to the airport and to work at Mesa HQ. We were a couple of blocks west of ASU and Max's favorite employer Chase Bank!
Downtown Tempe is nice, there's several good restraunts, bars and shops. Our neighborhood sucked; a lot of crime and drug dealing.
